RESEARCH
Unlocking HPV
UNCOMMON CYTOLOGICAL CATEGORIES
In an effort to gain a better understanding of the most uncommon cytological categories and to further our understanding of viral ecology and associated epigenetic alterations, we are continuing our massive collection efforts. We are currently looking to expand this work by collaborating with other labs who have the facilities and prior experience to investigate this project further.
EPIDEMIOLOGY OF HPV
We want to increase our understanding of the HPV epidemiological landscape in underdeveloped nations. Answering questions about this is essential for developing tools to further explore this research avenue with more sensitive measurements and improved data collection methods, and will ultimately help bring the HPV test to underdeveloped nations.
NOVEL SCREENING METHODS
Different grades of cancer possess different molecular signatures, and we are focusing on developing novel cancer screening methods that are fully automated and computerized. We are building a molecular diagnostic test to circumvent economic hardships and the non-existence of infrastructures for cytology-based screening programs in developing countries.
